Jim Guadiana focuses his practice on the tax aspects of domestic and international transactions and investments. He serves as advisor to public and privately-held multinational companies and investment firms with regard to their operations and investments in the United States. Jim also has extensive experience as tax advisor to a number of public corporations listed on the London, Hong Kong, and Toronto stock exchanges. Jim is respected domestically and internationally for his ability to identify and resolve unique and complex tax issues in domestic and cross-border investments in a myriad of fields. Jim also has represented clients before U.S. tax agencies and U.S. tax tribunals.
Malcolm has over 30 years' experience in business development across both the financial services and commercial marketplaces. His global outlook comes from living on both sides of the Atlantic and helping clients find solutions for their complex operational, technology and financial requirements. He has a strong focus in helping financial services and corporate clients overcome the challenges and seize the opportunities of today's increasingly global marketplace.
Malcolm is the Vistra Group Commercial Director of North America leading the group's business development activities across the region, developing and strengthening partner relationships, brand awareness and market engagement activities.
Prior to joining Vistra in 2016, Malcolm has held senior business development and product management roles at State Street, HSBC, BNP Paribas, Omgeo and Citibank. Before working in the financial industry he started his sales career with Wang. Originally from the UK, he holds a Maths with Computer Science BSc Degree from Brunel University.
Steve joined Frank Hirth LLC in 2011 as part of the Business Tax Group dealing with various partnerships and corporations. He previously worked at Ernst & Young in the financial services department focussing on US hedge funds and private equity funds.
Steve has experience in US taxation, providing a wide range of partnership and corporation tax compliance and advisory services. Steve also has knowledge of dealing with foreign transactions mainly regarding Fixed, Determinable, Annual, Periodical (FDAP) income and Effectively Connected Income (ECI) related issues. His client portfolio consists of financial services clients, general business clients and some high net worth individual clients.
