Jim Guadiana focuses his practice on the tax aspects of domestic and international transactions and investments. He serves as advisor to public and privately-held multinational companies and investment firms with regard to their operations and investments in the United States. Jim also has extensive experience as tax advisor to a number of public corporations listed on the London, Hong Kong, and Toronto stock exchanges. Jim is respected domestically and internationally for his ability to identify and resolve unique and complex tax issues in domestic and cross-border investments in a myriad of fields. Jim also has represented clients before U.S. tax agencies and U.S. tax tribunals.
Steve joined Frank Hirth LLC in 2011 as part of the Business Tax Group dealing with various partnerships and corporations. He previously worked at Ernst & Young in the financial services department focussing on US hedge funds and private equity funds.
Steve has experience in US taxation, providing a wide range of partnership and corporation tax compliance and advisory services. Steve also has knowledge of dealing with foreign transactions mainly regarding Fixed, Determinable, Annual, Periodical (FDAP) income and Effectively Connected Income (ECI) related issues. His client portfolio consists of financial services clients, general business clients and some high net worth individual clients.
Gulsey Torenli is Director and Head of Product Management, Alternative Investments in North America of Vistra US LLC. Gulsey joined Vistra in 2018 and is based in New York.
She is responsible for assisting in the execution of the AI strategy. Her responsibilities include AI operations both within the Private Equity and Real Estate Private Equity space.
With over 15 years of professional experience in financial services, Gulsey has held senior roles in Private Equity and Private Equity Real Estate accounting at various organizations including, Lehman Brothers, ABP Investments, SS&C/Geller Co., Goldman Sachs and Citco Fund Services LLC.
In her most recent role at Citco Fund Services, she was Senior Vice President in the Private Equity Fund Services Group overseeing Hybrid Private Equity and Private Equity clients.
Gulsey holds a MBA in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University.
