Eventbrite - The Business of an International Family Office

Join us in London on Tuesday, 24th May for a discussion group focussed on The Business of an International Family Office.

IBSA Members need to understand the dynamics of an international family office, what type of entity is used, what jurisdiction is selected, what form of investments may be made and any interaction that may occur between the family office and family members as regards the development of their businesses. And what happens when issues arise within the family that need to be resolved, such as divorce, death of the patriarch, exiting business investments made through financing arrangements and many other scenarios.

Our lively panel of experts, led by Omleen Ajimal, will de-mystify the concept of a family office and includes Penny Lovell of Close Brothers, Liz Palmer of Howard Kennedy and Steven Strauss of Simmons Gainsford.  They will explain various issues through a case study approach before the floor is opened for discussion on all relevant issues. The organisation of the family office to include management, financial, legal, immigration, employment and real estate services will form part of the overall discussion.

The discussion group will take the usual format of approximately an hour and a quarter and will be followed by networking drinks kindly provided by our hosts, Close Brothers.

Please note that Branch Events are free for IBSA Members & their nominated guest to attend. Non-members may attend one IBSA Branch Event free of charge but will be subject to a levy as determined by the IBSA for all subsequent Branch Event attendance as a non-member.
