Angus Macdonald, the Managing Director of rapidly expanding SME British Renewables will discuss his experience of the growing pains of developing and financing a growing enterprise.

Matt Stratton, a corporate lawyer at Ince & Co, will share his experience in considering how businesses can expand through acquisitions; what would be required by financial investors, and what challenges may lay ahead.

Richard Feigen, Non-Executive Chairman of Utilitywise Plc and Chief Executive of Broker Profile, will share his experiences as head of a £200 million plus market cap AIM Listed company and adviser on hundreds of transactions including IPOs, rights issues, friendly and hostile takeovers and P2Ps.

Our panellists will provide insight into the ways a company can expand a business through acquisitions, the requirements of financial investors and the potential impediments that could be faced.
 
Issues such as financing the expanded business, developing an acquisition policy, secondary markets (including AIM) and exit strategies will all be discussed.

Roy Saunders

Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1967, Roy Saunders has accumulated a wealth of commercial experience working independently in commercial property, international tax, advertising and other industries. He is the Chairman of IFS, a boutique international tax practice based in central London. Academically, he is known throughout the world for his many books and publications, the foremost being his red book, International Tax Systems & Planning Techniques published by Sweet & Maxwell. Roy has also taught an MA Course on International Taxation at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies at the University of London.

Roy is very proud of the fascinating client base of entrepreneurial individuals that he has built up at IFS. He feels strongly about the role that ethical tax structuring plays in the growth of an economy, and that this needs to be better understood by the public at large. Roy founded the IBSA to enable business professionals around the world to discover new business relationships and promote best practice by creating sustainable business structures compliant with international transparency, corporate governance and social responsibility.

He was for 11 years Head of Investment Banking and the Managing Director of Seymour Pierce, where he led it from a small brokerage firm to the UK’s top ranking AIM broker and advisor. After leaving Seymour Pierce in 2010, Richard helped found of Hub Capital Partners, a London based financial advisory firm specialising in small and mid cap companies. Richard was recently made Chief Executive at Broker Profile, an investor relations and capital markets advisory firm.
