As the dust settles following the passing of the second Finance Bill 2017, join Dmitry Zapol of IFS Consultants, Bas Kundu of Simmons Gainsford and William Thompson of Edwin Coe for a discussion group meeting examining the new round of changes brought to the UK’s property taxation landscape. This meeting will be held at the offices of Simmons Gainsford, 7/10 Chandos Street, Cavendish Square, London W1G 9DQ.
Our expert speakers will discuss the recent UK tax changes affecting UK property transactions including the new Inheritance Tax liability on overseas property representing UK residential property, considering possible planning techniques, the scope of the higher rate of SDLT on purchase of UK additional property (the “3% tax”) and potential pitfalls. The panel will also review typical structures for commercial and residential developments, as well as the financing and tax issues related to such developments.
Networking drinks and canapés, kindly provided by Simmons Gainsford hosting the event, will follow the discussion and offers the opportunity to meet fellow IBSA members and their guests.
This event is free to IBSA members and invited guests.
This discussion group meeting has been approved with full conformity for 1.5 hours' accreditation under the CPD guidelines.
